TLDR Adipose stem cell-conditioned media improved hair density and thickness in women with hair loss.
A retrospective, observational study involving 27 female patients with pattern hair loss found that the application of adipose tissue-derived stem cell-conditioned media (ADSC-CM) significantly improved hair density and thickness over 12 weeks. Hair density increased from 105.4 to 122.7 counts/cm², and hair thickness increased from 57.5 to 64.0μm, both with P < 0.001. No severe adverse reactions were reported, suggesting ADSC-CM as a potential treatment for female pattern hair loss.

Scalp biopsies are crucial for diagnosing hair loss conditions like Diffuse Unpatterned Alopecia (DUPA) and retrograde hair loss, as treatments like finasteride and dutasteride may not be effective if other conditions are present. Combining PPAR-GAMMA agonists with retinoids could improve treatments for conditions like Lichen Planopilaris.
