Comparison of the efficacy and safety of topical minoxidil and topical alfatradiol in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia in women

    TLDR Minoxidil works better for female hair loss than alfatradiol, both safe.
    This study compared the effectiveness and safety of topical minoxidil and topical alfatradiol in treating androgenetic alopecia in women. The study found that minoxidil was more effective in increasing hair density and thickness compared to alfatradiol. Both treatments were well tolerated with no side effects reported. The study involved 103 patients and was conducted over 12 months.
