TLDR Severe and early hair loss may indicate a higher risk of heart disease.
This study investigated the link between androgenic alopecia (AGA) and coronary artery disease (CAD) in 402 Han Chinese males aged 28-75 years. It found that severe and early-onset AGA were significantly associated with an increased risk of CAD and high coronary stenosis. The study concluded that severe and early-onset AGA could be potential indicators for predicting the severity of coronary atherosclerosis, suggesting the need for further research in diverse populations.
