This study found that individuals with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) may be at an increased risk of developing coronary artery disease (CAD), with the risk increasing as the grade of AGA increases. The study suggests that clinical evaluation of cases with AGA of grade II and above may be helpful in preventing CAD in the future. The study also discusses genetic and environmental factors that play a role in causing AGA, and found significant differences in blood pressure and lipid levels between cases and controls.
