TLDR Hair loss in young men in Central India is linked to severe heart disease.
The observational study involved 60 young males from Central India, 30 of whom had both androgenic alopecia (AGA) and coronary artery disease (CAD) (group A), and 30 without AGA (group B). The research found a significant correlation between AGA and the severity of CAD, with group A showing more severe coronary artery disease. This suggests that AGA could be a risk factor for CAD, particularly in cases of myocardial infarction. However, the authors recommend larger studies to confirm these findings.
