TLDR Hair loss, prostate size, and urinary issues are related due to androgen effects.
This document contains three different studies related to prostate health. The first study used rats to demonstrate that androgen regulates prostate blood flow partly via non-classical signal transduction pathway. The second study found a significant association between early-onset androgenetic alopecia (AGA) and urinary symptoms due to prostate growth, suggesting a similar androgen-dependent physiopathology. The third study found that human prostate stromal cells respond to hypoxia by altering the expression of certain genes in the Wnt pathway, particularly WISP1/CCN4, which is a growth-enhancing gene product that is secreted into the extracellular.
