Signaling pathways, also known as signal transduction pathways or cell signaling pathways, are a series of molecular interactions that transmit signals from a cell's exterior to its interior, leading to a specific cellular response. These pathways involve receptors, enzymes, and other proteins that work together to regulate various biological processes, such as cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Understanding these pathways is crucial for developing treatments for conditions like cancer and alopecia, where signaling disruptions can lead to disease.
