    Rhabdomyolysis, often referred to as "rhabdo," is a serious medical condition characterized by the rapid breakdown of damaged skeletal muscle tissue. This process releases muscle cell contents, including a protein called myoglobin, into the bloodstream, which can lead to kidney damage and other complications. Common causes include severe physical exertion, trauma, infections, and certain medications or drugs.
