Results showed that 72% of prescriptions were made by dermatologists, with 52% of patients being adolescents and over half being female. A significant portion of patients had alopecia totalis/universalis or other autoimmune, atopic, or mental/emotional disorders. Prior to ritlecitinib, 34% of adolescents and 24% of adults had not received AA treatments. The study suggests that ritlecitinib offers new opportunities for engaging in AA care across diverse patient profiles.
