TLDR Combining stem cell medium and light therapy improves wound healing in diabetic rats.
The study investigated the effects of human adipose-derived stem cell conditioned medium (h-ASC-COM) and photobiomodulation (PBM) on wound healing in type 2 diabetic rats with infected wounds. The combination of h-ASC-COM and PBM significantly improved wound healing by reducing inflammation and microbial presence, and enhancing wound strength, closure rate, fibroblast count, and blood vessel formation. While both PBM alone and the combination treatment were more effective than h-ASC-COM alone, the combined treatment was superior to PBM alone.
