TLDR A rare benign skin nodule was found on the buttock, a unique location for this condition.
This document reports a very rare case of trichofolliculoma, a benign cystic nodule, located in the gluteal area, which is an unprecedented site for this condition. Trichofolliculoma typically presents as a dome-shaped papule or nodule with a central pore and is commonly found on the face, neck, or scalp. The case described is unique as it has not been previously reported in English literature. The clinical and histopathological differential diagnosis for trichofolliculoma includes basal cell carcinoma, milia, keratoacanthoma, trichoepithelioma, syringoma, dilated pore of Winer, pilar sheath acanthoma, and basal cell carcinoma.
