TLDR A woman had a rare, non-cancerous skin growth on her face, which was removed and did not come back after a year.
A 40-year-old female presented with a small, asymptomatic, non-progressive growth on her face that had been present for 6 years. Upon examination, the lesion was skin-colored, firm, and non-tender, with no systemic abnormalities or evidence of bone involvement on radiological examination. Suspected to be a benign adnexal lesion, an excisional biopsy was performed, and histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of trichofolliculoma, a rare benign hamartoma of the hair follicle typically found on the face. The patient experienced no recurrence of the condition over a 1-year follow-up period.
