Patients Treated With Thinner Artificial Hair Implants: A Case Series

This study evaluated the satisfaction and safety of Biofibre ® 4.0 artificial hair implants in 15 patients with alopecia, including 10 males and 5 females. The implants, made of biocompatible fibers with a diameter of 0.08 mm, were assessed for their impact on scalp hair density and aesthetic perception. Results showed high patient satisfaction, with a mean score of 3.1 out of 4, indicating that most patients were satisfied or very satisfied. The study found no significant adverse reactions, confirming the biocompatibility and safety of the implants. Despite the small sample size, the findings suggest that Biofibre ® 4.0 is an effective and well-tolerated option for improving the appearance and psychological well-being of individuals with androgenetic alopecia.
