TLDR Artificial hair fibers help treat scalp scars with few complications and a 20% yearly fiber fall rate.
The article discusses the use of artificial hair fiber restoration as a treatment for scalp scars. The study found that the implantation of artificial hair fibers can be considered an adjunctive treatment for scalp scars in selected cases. The study found no complications in 90.7% of scars treated, with mild adverse outcomes in 7.4% and moderately adverse outcomes in 1.9%. The fiber fall rate was 20% on average per annum. The study suggests that polyamide hair fiber restoration can be a useful treatment for scalp scars.
