The study found that the implantation of artificial hair fibers can be considered an adjunctive treatment for scalp scars in selected cases. The study found no complications in 90.7% of scars treated, with mild adverse outcomes in 7.4% and moderately adverse outcomes in 1.9%. The fiber fall rate was 20% on average per annum. The study suggests that polyamide hair fiber restoration can be a useful treatment for scalp scars.
