TLDR Polynucleotide injections improved eye wrinkles with few side effects.
This prospective observational study involving 42 patients over 6 months assessed the efficacy and safety of intradermal polynucleotide injections for treating undereye wrinkles and crow's feet. The study reported significant improvements in wrinkle severity and patient satisfaction, with FACE-Q scores indicating reductions in appraisal scores at 1, 3, and 6 months. The treatment was well-tolerated, with mild swelling and discomfort as the most common short-term adverse events, and no serious complications. While the study supports polynucleotide injections as a promising option for periorbital rejuvenation, it primarily relied on patient-reported outcomes, suggesting the need for future research with objective measures and controlled designs to confirm efficacy.
