TLDR Soymilk can slow hair growth and make hair thinner.
The study from 2001 demonstrated that soymilk and soybean-derived serine protease inhibitors (STI and BBI) not only affected hair pigmentation but also reduced the rate of hair growth, decreased hair follicle and hair shaft dimensions, and altered the appearance of hair. These findings suggested that soymilk could be used as an effective agent for hair care and management, providing a natural alternative for influencing hair characteristics at the morphological and histological levels.
