TLDR The SAALIQ is a reliable tool for measuring the impact of alopecia areata on Spanish-speaking patients' quality of life.
The Spanish alopecia areata–life impact questionnaire (SAALIQ) is a culturally adapted tool designed to accurately measure the quality of life (QoL) impact of alopecia areata (AA) in Spanish-speaking patients. It demonstrates strong psychometric performance, validated cut-off points, and effectively captures domains that generic measures may overlook. This makes SAALIQ an essential resource for patient-centered care, clinical trials, and international research. However, further studies are needed to confirm the generalizability of these findings.
