TLDR Myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol improve hormonal and physical symptoms in teenage girls with PCOS.
The study evaluated the effects of Myo-inositol (MI) and D-chiro-Inositol (DCI) on 106 teenage girls with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Participants were divided into two groups: Group A received MI plus DCI, and Group B received a placebo for 6 months. The treatment group showed significant improvements in hormonal levels, fasting glucose, Estradiol levels, BMI, acne, hair growth, and ultrasound parameters compared to the placebo group. The study concluded that MI plus DCI combination therapy is effective and safe for improving clinical and endocrine parameters in teenage girls with PCOS.
