This narrative review evaluates six minimally invasive non-surgical therapies for androgenetic alopecia (AGA), highlighting platelet-rich plasma (PRP), microneedling with topical minoxidil, and topical finasteride as promising treatments. PRP and topical finasteride have strong evidence from multiple randomized controlled trials (RCTs), with topical finasteride showing similar efficacy to oral finasteride but with reduced systemic absorption. Microneedling combined with topical minoxidil outperformed monotherapy in a large RCT. Intradermal dutasteride shows potential but needs larger trials, while mesotherapy and PN/PDRN injections require standardized protocols and more robust evidence. The review's conclusions are limited by study heterogeneity and lack of formal bias assessment.
