TLDR Autologous Micrografting Technology effectively improves hair growth and is a safe, promising option for hair restoration.
Autologous Micrografting Technology (AMT) has emerged over the past decade as a promising regenerative treatment for androgenetic alopecia (AGA), leveraging the body's regenerative potential through micrografts from healthy scalp tissue. This review highlights AMT's clinical efficacy in improving hair density and thickness with favorable safety outcomes, comparing it to other regenerative treatments like platelet-rich plasma and stem cell therapies. Advancements in technology have improved the consistency of AMT, making it a viable minimally invasive option in hair restoration. Future research is needed to refine treatment protocols, enhance patient selection, and broaden the application of AMT.
