    TLDR A rare skin condition called linear lichen planopilaris caused itchy red bumps and hair loss on a man's face.
    A 45-year-old man presented with a 5-month history of unilateral pruritic linear erythematous papules and atrophy on the chin and mandibular area, diagnosed as linear lichen planopilaris of the face, a rare condition with only 13 cases reported in the literature. Dermoscopy revealed cicatricial alopecia, absence of follicular openings, perifollicular erythema, and pigment.
