Linear Lichen Planopilaris of the Trunk: First Report of a Case

    Kristi Baker, Kevin Pehr
TLDR Linear lichen planopilaris can affect the trunk, not just the face.
The document reported the first case of linear lichen planopilaris (LPP) on the trunk, a rare variant of LPP that typically affects the face. A 34-year-old male presented with nonpruritic, erythematous, keratotic papules following Blaschko's lines on his trunk. Biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of LPP by revealing lichenoid and interface dermatitis involving the basilar epidermis and hair follicles, along with apoptotic keratinocytes. This case expanded the known distribution of linear LPP beyond the face.
