TLDR Lifestyle changes like exercise and diet improve PCOS symptoms.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent endocrine disorder affecting women of reproductive age, characterized by symptoms such as menstrual irregularities, weight management issues, excessive hair growth, acne, and fertility problems. The paper highlights that lifestyle modifications, including physical activity and dietary changes, should be the first-line therapy for managing PCOS. These interventions can lead to significant improvements in clinical outcomes by enhancing body composition, normalizing sex hormone levels, reducing inflammation, and boosting mental health, underscoring the importance of comprehensive lifestyle changes in treating PCOS.
