Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects 6% to 26% of women of reproductive age and is often associated with obesity, which exacerbates insulin resistance and hormonal imbalances. This creates a cycle of weight gain and metabolic disorders. Preventing and treating obesity through a balanced diet and regular exercise is crucial for managing PCOS. Healthy eating and increased physical activity improve hormone regulation, fertility, and reduce symptoms like hirsutism and acne, while also enhancing overall wellbeing and mental health. The most effective approach to treating PCOS symptoms is through dietary and lifestyle changes.
