This literature review on cicatricial alopecia (CA) highlighted that while the primary treatment goal was to halt the inflammatory process causing hair follicle destruction, there were 71 documented cases of hair regrowth following treatment. The treatments varied significantly across different CA subtypes, indicating that regrowth was possible in some patients. However, the exact mechanism behind this regrowth remained unclear.
