TLDR Minoxidil in triamino alpha-cyclodextrin promotes hair growth effectively.
The study synthesized triamino alpha-cyclodextrin (CD) and prepared an inclusion complex with Minoxidil (MXD) to evaluate its hair growth promotion effects. The complex was tested in vitro on hairless mice skins, showing that MXD in triamino alpha-CD had the highest substantivity due to electrostatic interactions with the skin. In vivo tests on female mice (C57BL6) over 30 days demonstrated that only MXD in triamino alpha-CD promoted hair growth, likely due to its significant substantivity.
