TLDR Red clover and caffeine both promote hair growth, but combining them doesn't enhance the effect.
This study evaluated the hair growth-promoting effects of transferosome formulations containing red clover extract, caffeine, or their combination in male Swiss mice. The formulations were applied for 3 weeks, and hair growth was assessed weekly. Results showed that both red clover and caffeine alone significantly increased hair growth by the end of the third week, with effects comparable to minoxidil. However, the combination of red clover and caffeine did not enhance the effect beyond what was observed with each component alone, possibly due to interactions between the two. The study suggests that while both red clover and caffeine can promote hair growth, their combination does not provide additional benefits.
