TLDR Combining fractional CO2 laser and PRP is very effective for treating female hair loss.
The study evaluated the efficacy of fractional CO2 laser, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and their combination in treating female pattern hair loss (FPHL) in 30 women aged 23-42 over six months. Results showed significant improvements in terminal hair count, hair thickness, and hair density in the PRP, laser, and combined treatment areas compared to the control, with the combined treatment showing the most substantial improvements. Side effects were minimal, and 70.1% of participants were satisfied with the results. The study supports the efficacy of PRP, especially when combined with fractional CO2 laser, in enhancing hair growth in FPHL patients.
