TLDR Regular aerobic exercise for over 60 minutes can delay and improve androgenic alopecia symptoms.
The study investigated the relationship between exercise and the severity of androgenic alopecia (AGA) in 592 patients. It found that aerobic exercise and exercising for more than 60 minutes per session significantly helped delay the progression of AGA and improve symptoms. Specifically, 15.37% of patients showed improvement after 6 months of exercise, while 75.68% experienced natural progression, and 8.95% saw their condition worsen. Improvements were also noted in scalp itching, greasiness, anxiety, depression, and sleep quality. The study concluded that exercise style, frequency, and duration were significant factors in AGA improvement, while gender and family history were not.
