TLDR A new topical treatment using SAMiRNA technology shows promise in increasing hair growth for androgenetic alopecia.
Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is influenced by androgen hormones and the androgen receptor, with new treatments targeting these pathways. CosmeRNA ARI, developed by Bioneer Corp, uses SAMiRNA technology to inhibit androgen receptor mRNA, offering a novel topical treatment for AGA. Clinical studies have shown that this approach effectively increases hair growth by downregulating androgen receptor expression. Experts Sergio Vañó-Galván and Young-jin Park highlight SAMiRNA as a promising emerging therapy in the evolving landscape of AGA treatments.
