Contraindications of Using Fractional CO2 Laser in the Treatment of Aesthetic Disorders: A Narrative Review

    This narrative review highlights the importance of recognizing contraindications for fractional CO2 laser therapy in treating aesthetic disorders to ensure patient safety and effective outcomes. Key contraindications include pigmentary disorders, high phototypes, active autoimmune diseases, inflammatory skin conditions, photosensitivity, pregnancy, history of keloids, active infections, recent ablative laser treatment, recent isotretinoin use, and anticoagulant use. The study emphasizes that careful patient selection and individualized treatment planning are crucial for maximizing benefits and minimizing risks associated with this therapy.
