TLDR Combining fractional CO2 laser with halometasone cream is more effective for chronic eczema than the cream alone.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of fractional CO2 laser treatment with different parameters combined with topical halometasone for chronic eczema. The study found that combining the laser treatment with halometasone cream was more effective than using the cream alone, with better results observed at 4 weeks post-treatment compared to 1 week. The efficacy varied based on laser parameters, with higher energy (50 mJ) showing faster onset but more pain, while smaller dot spacing (0.6 mm) provided better long-term results. The study recommends using 30 mJ energy and 0.6 mm dot spacing for optimal results, though further research is needed to confirm these findings.
