TLDR The combined treatments were highly effective for improving atrophic acne scars.
The study investigated the efficacy of a combination therapy using subcision, micro-needling, and TCA CROSS for treating atrophic acne scars in 30 patients. The treatments were administered in a sequential manner over three sessions. Results showed significant improvement in scar grades: 64.3% of patients with grade 4 scars improved to grade 2, and 60% of patients with grade 3 scars improved to grade 1. All patients with grade 2 scars showed significant improvement. The study concluded that the combined treatment modalities were highly effective for all types of atrophic acne scars.
