TLDR Cerasus serrulata flower extracts can help turn grey hair black again.
This study investigated the hair-blacking effects of Cerasus serrulata flower extracts (CSE) in a C57BL/6 premature greying mouse model. The research found that CSE significantly up-regulated the expression of β-catenin and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in skin tissues, which promoted hair growth and blackening. The results suggest that CSE can efficiently promote hair blackening, likely through the VEGF pathway, indicating its potential as a therapeutic candidate for treating premature greying.
