TLDR AiQingHua oil improves blood flow and promotes hair growth in mice.
The study investigated the effects of AiQingHua (AQH) oil on microcirculation disturbances and hair regeneration in mice models. It involved 90 mice in total, with 40 assessing microcirculation and 50 evaluating hair growth. AQH oil significantly improved microcirculation by expanding capillary and arteriole diameters, increasing capillary openings, and enhancing blood flow. In the alopecia model, AQH oil promoted hair growth, with treated mice showing hair regrowth from the 8th day and higher hair growth scores on days 12, 16, and 20 compared to the model group. Additionally, AQH oil reduced serum testosterone and estradiol levels, improved the T/E2 ratio, and increased the number of hair follicles, sebaceous glands, and sweat glands. The study concluded that AQH oil could enhance microcirculation and promote hair regeneration in mice with hair loss.
