TLDR Two finasteride tablet types are equally effective and can be swapped.
The study aimed to compare the bioequivalence of two different coated tablet formulations of finasteride in healthy volunteers. The study involved 26 participants in an open, randomized, crossover single dose study with 2 periods x 2 sequences and a minimum washout period of 7 days. The results showed that the two formulations are bioequivalent in terms of rate and extent of absorption. It may be concluded that the two formulations are interchangeable.
