TLDR Locally made finasteride tablets work the same as imported ones.
The study assessed the bioequivalence of locally manufactured finasteride tablets compared to imported ones in 18 healthy male volunteers. Participants received a single crossover dose of either the test or reference tablets, and serum finasteride concentrations were measured using HPLC. The pharmacokinetic parameters, including C_max, T_max, and AUC_0-t, showed no significant differences between the test and reference tablets. The relative bioavailability of the test tablets was 106.58%, indicating that the locally manufactured tablets were bioequivalent to the imported ones.
