    The reticular dermis is the deeper layer of the dermis, located beneath the papillary dermis. It is composed of dense, irregular connective tissue that provides strength and elasticity to the skin. This layer contains collagen and elastin fibers, as well as blood vessels, nerves, and various skin appendages like hair follicles and sweat glands.
