Lichen Simplex Chronicus (LSC), also known as Neurodermatitis, is a skin condition characterized by chronic itching and scratching, leading to thickened, leathery patches of skin. It often results from a cycle where an initial itch causes scratching, which then exacerbates the itch, creating a persistent problem. This condition can be triggered by stress, dry skin, or other underlying skin disorders.
