TLDR Cord blood fraction heals skin wounds as effectively as Actovegin.
The study compared the wound healing effects of a low molecular weight fraction (below 5 kDa) from cattle cord blood (CBF) and the drug Actovegin on skin cryolesions in rats. Both treatments were found to accelerate tissue regeneration, improve blood parameters, and enhance vascularization in the injured area, thereby preventing sclerotic processes. The effects of CBF were comparable to those of Actovegin, suggesting its potential as an effective therapy for cryolesions.
