In a study conducted on seven patients with corticosteroid-induced rosacea-like dermatitis (CIRD), two sessions of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) mesotherapy were administered, resulting in significant improvements in symptoms such as erythema, telangiectasia, and papules. The patients, who had been using topical corticosteroids for over three months, experienced relief from symptoms including dry skin, pain, and a burning sensation. The positive changes were confirmed by VISIA skin detector and the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS), with all patients reporting satisfaction with the treatment's outcomes. The study concluded that PRP mesotherapy could reduce sensitivity and inflammation in CIRD patients and suggested that further larger randomized controlled trials are needed to confirm its safety and efficacy. No funding or conflicts of interest were reported, and ethical guidelines were followed with patient consent.
