TLDR Topical booster improves hair loss treatment effectiveness.
A study investigated the use of a novel topical booster to enhance follicular sulfotransferase activity in patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) and improve their response to minoxidil treatment. The booster was found to significantly increase sulfotransferase activity and improve minoxidil response in patients with AGA. This suggests that the use of topical boosters may be a new strategy to improve the efficacy of minoxidil treatment for hair loss. The study involved 20 patients with AGA and lasted for 14 days.
