TLDR TA-Ado effectively promotes hair growth and reduces hair loss.
The study presents a novel supramolecular cocrystal (TA-Ado) designed to enhance the delivery and efficacy of Adenosine for hair regulation and restoration. By improving Adenosine's solubility, permeability, and stability, TA-Ado significantly increased transdermal permeation by 2.66 times and demonstrated superior bioactivity, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and sebum-regulating effects. It notably inhibited 5α-reductase activity by 81.93%, promoted hair follicle growth, and improved cuticle integrity. Clinical evaluations confirmed its safety and effectiveness in reducing scalp inflammation, sebum secretion, and preventing hair loss, suggesting TA-Ado as a promising dermatological and cosmetic application.
