TLDR Combining treatments significantly reduces dark circles and wrinkles better than nanofat alone.
This retracted study evaluated the efficacy and safety of combining nanofat with stromal vascular fraction (SVF), platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and 1064-nm Q-switched Nd:YAG laser for treating infraorbital dark circles and wrinkles in a randomized, single-blinded clinical trial involving 30 patients. The study found that these combination treatments were more effective than nanofat alone, with improvements in skin thickness, lightness, and density, particularly with the Nd:YAG laser. Despite no major complications and higher patient satisfaction with combination therapies, the study's retraction suggests caution in interpreting these findings, and further research with larger sample sizes and longer follow-ups is recommended.
