TLDR Nonshaven follicular unit extraction is a highly satisfactory method for restoring pubic hair.
The document reported on a study that demonstrated the effectiveness of nonshaven follicular unit extraction (NS-FUE) for pubic hair restoration in 50 Korean women with pubic atrichosis or hypotrichosis. The patients underwent the procedure at Dana Plastic Surgery Clinic in Seoul, Korea, and were followed for at least 10 months. The results showed high satisfaction rates, with average scores of 4.5 and 4.6 out of 5 from patients and the surgeon, respectively. NS-FUE was found to be effective as it avoids a linear donor scar, does not require shaving of the donor site, allows selective harvesting of hair grafts, and enables a quick return to normal activities. Only two cases of mild folliculitis occurred, which were treated with oral antibiotics, and no other complications were reported. The study concluded that NS-FUE is a highly satisfactory method for pubic hair restoration.
