The study assessed the effectiveness and tolerance of a shampoo and mousse containing plant extracts on 18 dogs with idiopathic chronic greasy seborrhea. Twelve dogs received the treatment, while six served as controls washed with plain water. The treatment group showed significant improvements in skin lesions, malodor, scaling, and greasiness, with clinical scores improving by 53% by day 7 and 91% by day 24. The products were well-tolerated, with no adverse effects, and did not affect skin hydration or hair lipid levels. Despite the small sample size, the treatment effectively managed symptoms of greasy seborrhea in dogs.
