    This study evaluated a protocol using chlorhexidine and Ophytrium-containing shampoo and mousse to manage yeast imbalances in dogs. Dogs were treated with shampoo on Day 0 and mousse applications over 21 days. Results showed a significant reduction in Malassezia pachydermatis yeast counts by Day 21, with a 57.3% decrease by Day 7 and 88.5% by Day 21. Pruritus and skin irritation scores also improved significantly. Veterinarians rated the efficacy from good to excellent, and 91.7% of owners found the protocol efficient and practical. This treatment could be a useful option for managing yeast imbalances in dogs.
