Primary Cicatricial Alopecia Among Libyan Patients: A Clinicopathological and Epidemiological Study

    The study evaluated the epidemiological and clinicopathological characteristics of cicatricial alopecia in 31 Libyan patients diagnosed between January 2018 and December 2019. The results showed that 16.1% of patients had lichen planopilaris, 25.8% had discoid lupus erythematosus, 6% had folliculitis decalvans, 6.45% had pseudopelade of Brocq, and 16.12% had frontal fibrosing alopecia. The condition primarily affected middle-aged individuals, particularly females. The study concluded that early diagnosis and treatment could reduce the burden of cicatricial alopecia.
