TLDR Natural substances like caffeine and rosemary oil may help hair growth, but more research is needed.
The study reviews non-pharmacological treatments for androgenetic alopecia, focusing on phytochemicals and natural products. It finds that substances like caffeine, rosemary oil, ginseng, capsaicin, curcumin, and procyanidins can stimulate hair growth and extend the anagen phase, while epigallocatechin gallate, saw palmetto, and pumpkin seed oil may inhibit dihydrotestosterone production. Although these findings are promising, further multicenter clinical trials are needed to confirm their efficacy and support their use in clinical practice.
