TLDR Light therapy successfully treated a dog's hair growth problem without side effects.
This case report describes the successful treatment of hair cycle arrest in a Pembroke Welsh corgi using photobiomodulation therapy (previously known as low-level laser therapy). The therapy was well-tolerated and showed no adverse effects. Videodermoscopy, a non-invasive technique, was used to measure the response to treatment and proved to be a useful tool for in-hospital use. This case highlights the potential of photobiomodulation therapy as a treatment option for hair cycle arrest and introduces videodermoscopy as a valuable diagnostic tool for practitioners.
